Groups for Adults

Adult Sunday Bible Study

Scripture, Christian writing and Lutheran theology guide the discussions of this adult Bible Study which meets every Sunday of the year except for major holidays.  The group welcomes those who want to learn, share and fellowship with a combination of humor and seriousness.  Lively discussion is common!

Adult Wednesday Bible Study

The following Sunday's scripture is read and discussed in the context of Lutheran theology and living everyday in God's Grace. This Bible study group meets every Wednesday of the year at 10:00 AM except for major holidays.  We welcome those who want to learn, share and fellowship with a combination of humor and seriousness.  Lively discussion and laughter are common!

Lutheran Chick's Book Club

This informal book club provides a venue for a group of ladies to meet with no other purpose than to socialize and discuss a good read over wine, seltzer water, appetizers and dessert. Held bimonthly in someone's home on a Friday evening, laughter is common and no politics or gossip is allowed! All ladies are welcome to join us.

Quilting Ministry

The Quilting Ministry assembles patchwork quilts which are distributed by Lutheran World Relief within the US and around the world. In addition to providing warmth, these quilts are used as walls and rugs. The Quilting group meets the first Monday of every month.

Retreats for Adults

Retreats offer getaways from daily routines so participants can use the undistracted time for Study, Fellowship, Meditation and Relaxation. Men's Retreats and Women's Retreats are usually only 2-3 days and require no more than a few hours travel time.

Music Ministry

Several times per month, Worship Services include music presented by the Adult Vocal Choir, Adult Handbell Choir or the Young Ringers Handbell Choir. Each year on Music Sunday in May and at Christmas, Easter and Reformation Sunday, all choirs perform at both services.

MUST Lunch Team

The MUST Lunch Team serves a hot lunch to 90+ diners at the Loaves & Fishes lunchroom on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Diners are predominantly the homeless living at MUST's Elizabeth Inn shelter next door and those who walk in off the street. MUST provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment for all who enter. CLC is proud to say this is a 20+ year old legacy ministry.

Sunday Servants

Sunday Servant are an indispensible group that enables worship services to happen smoothly and without distraction. Volunteers are always needed.
